Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1

  1. Select a letter-sized page. I’m assuming you live in the States
and you want to print to a standard letter-sized page. (That
said, if you live elsewhere or have other needs, you can easily
modify these instructions to suit your tastes.) Drop down to
the Document area and change the Page Preset option to U.S.
Paper. Then set Size to Letter, as in Figure 12-24.

If you’re printing a CD or DVD insert, ignore the Size option and set both
the Width and Height values to 4.75 inches.

  1. Specify the image resolution. Make sure the Quality option is
set to 300 ppi, which resamples images, well, to 300 ppi, thus
    ensuring sharp, legible output.

  2. Preview your PDF document. Click the Refresh Preview but-
ton at the top of the Output panel to check on your progress
so far. The Bridge displays an alert message that tells you it’s
generating a temporary PDF document. A few moments later,
a new Output Preview panel appears, complete with the first
four images on a letter-sized page.

  3. Set the rows and columns. Let’s say we want all twelve im-
ages to appear on a single page. Go down to the Layout area
of the Output panel and set the Columns value to 3 and the
    Rows value to 4.
