Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1

  • To ungroup a stack and return the images to independent
thumbnails, add Shift to the standard grouping shortcut,
as in Ctrl+Shift+G (-Shift-G on the Mac).
Note that a stack is a Bridge convention. A stack does not change
the files themselves or the location or configuration of the files
    at your computer’s desktop level.

  1. Add a folder to Favorites. If you want to view images in a
specific folder on a regular basis, save the folder as a favorite.
Click the Folder tab to open that panel, right-click the McClel-
land Boys folder, and choose Add to Favorites from the pop-up
menu. Then switch to the Favorite panel to see the new Mc-
Clelland Boys item, indicated by the red arrow in Figure 1-21.

Figure 1-21.

If you have a single file that you use on a regular basis, you can make it a
favorite as well. Just drag the file from the content browser and drop it in
the empty area at the bottom of the Favorites panel. This technique works
for folders as well.

To get rid of a favorite, right-click it and choose Remove from
Favorites. For example, I save the vast majority of my photo-
graphs to an independent hard drive, so I have no use for the
preset Pictures folder. If you work similarly, right-click Pictures
and choose Remove from Favorites. To reinstate one of Adobe’s
default favorites, press Ctrl+K (or -K) to bring up the Prefer-
ences dialog box. Then select General in the left list and turn
on and off the Favorite Items check boxes as desired.
