The prolonged period of writing long cross-browser compatibility CSS declarations with vendor prefixes is
coming to a close. Most recent browser versions are dropping them entirely for the properties you’ve looked at in
this book.
The new environment that this rapid adoption of technologies is forming—the “Next Web”—promises to be
more open, richer in possibility, and more creative than anything that has come become. I’m excited to see what
new vistas it may uncover, as I hope you are too.
