Charles Duhigg (“The Pandemic Pro-
tocol,” p. 16), the author of “The Power
of Habit” and “Smarter Faster Better,”
was a member of the Times team that
won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for explan-
atory reporting.

Doreen St. Félix (On Television, p. 80),
a staff writer since 2017, is The New
Yorker’s television critic.

Siddhartha Mukherjee (“After the Storm,”
p. 24) won a Pulitzer Prize for his book
“The Emperor of All Maladies.” His
most recent book is “The Gene.”

Jill Lepore (A Critic at Large, p. 70) is
a professor of history at Harvard and
the host of the podcast “The Last
Archive.” Her fourteenth book, “If
Then,” will be published in September.

Chris Ware (Cover) has contributed
comic strips and covers since 1999. This
is his twenty-seventh cover.

Eavan Boland (Poem, p. 28) will publish
a new poetry collection, “The Histori-
ans,” in the fall.

Karen Cunningham (Portfolio, p. 48) ,
a photographer and a printmaker, is a
nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Allan Gurganus (Fiction, p. 62) is the
author of “Oldest Living Confederate
Widow Tells All” and “Local Souls.”
He will publish “The Uncollected
Stories of Allan Gurganus” next year.

Ada Limón (Poem, p. 67), a current Gug-
genheim Fellow, is the author of five
poetry collections, including “The
Carrying,” which won the National
Book Critics Circle Award for poetry.

Nick Hornby (Shouts & Murmurs, p. 23)
has written numerous books, including
“High Fidelity,” “About a Boy,” and
“Fever Pitch.” His next novel, “Just Like
You,” will come out later this year.

Micah Hauser (The Talk of the Town,
p. 15) is a member of the magazine’s
editorial staff.

Anthony Gottlieb (Books, p. 76) is the
author of, most recently, “The Dream
of Enlightenment.”
