GATHER FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR

A RELAXED DAY OF SEASONALLY-
INSPIRED COMFORT FOOD AND SIMPLE

GAMES TO PASS THE TIME

Low & slow

T

here’s nothing better than a laid-back
Sunday, where your plans stretch
no further than reading the papers,
friends dropping round and the
possibility of going for a long country
walk – although only if the weather permits.
Simple comfort food that cooks slowly is the
order of the day. Dishes that can be made in
advance and get the chance to mature, while you
kick back. It’s food that means you can head out
for a ramble and return with it ready to share.
Serve up snacks while you play a game indoors,
before tucking into a hearty stew and finishing
up with a pudding that will transport you back
to childhood. It’s what Sundays are made for.

Seasonal flavours
sing out in this
menu, which has
been planned to
maximise time to
relax. Pull on your
walking boots or
crack open the
Monopoly and let
time take care
of the eventual feast
