The eccentric interior of this restaurant in Sopot’s city centre, is decorated with scenes from the Kama Sutra. Diners
come here to enjoy the Mediterranean dishes such as beef carpaccio with capers, as well as traditional Polish special-
ities, such as sour rye soup with mushrooms. The wine list covers all of the world’s main wine-producing regions.

menu ranges from light snacks to more substantial dishes, such as boar.

SOPOT Rozmaryn : 7 © 
ul. Ogrodowa 8, 81759 Tel (058) 551 1104

Within a charming cottage-style building, Rozmaryn has a disappointingly dull interior, but that should act as no
deterrent to diners. This is said to be the best Italian restaurant in the region, and rightly so. The menu changes
each month, and the seafood, especially the fish soup, is renowned across the town.

TORUŃ Gromada : 7 © 
ul. Żeglarska 10/14, 87100 Tel (056) 622 6060

Despite its rather outdated image, this hotel-restaurant offers some very good food. The menu revolves around
typical Polish cuisine, including tripe and żurek soup. The potato dumplings served in czernina (soup made with
duck blood and chicken broth) is particularly impressive.

WROCŁAW Abrams’ Tower f © 
ul. Kraińskiego 14, 50-153 Tel (071) 725 6652

In the past one may had to travel to Warsaw to enjoy Mexican food, but the arrival of Abrams’ Tower means that
this is no longer the case. Indeed, this restaurant looks set on changing the conservative dining habits of the locals.
The owners stress that this is Mexican food prepared Californian-style, inside the trendy interior of a medieval tower.

WROCŁAW Art Restauracja i Kawiarnia : 7 © 
ul. Kiełbaśnicza 20, 50110 Tel (071) 787 7102

The Art Hotel is one of the best in town, so it comes as no surprise that such quality extends to the kitchen. Descend
to the basement to enter a vaulted brick cellar decorated with murals of city scenes. The menu changes with the
seasons and sees the chef experimenting with recipes from all over Europe.

WROCŁAW Sakana : © 
ul. Odrzańska 17/1a, 50-113 Tel (071) 343 3710

This restaurant is owned by the same team behind the best sushi stop in the capital. Wrocław’s version of Sakana
is equally good, the only difference being that this venture is actually larger that the Warsaw branch. Once more,
the food floats around a circular bar on paper boats, eagerly consumed by a young and fashionable crowd.

WROCŁAW Spiż : © 

Rynek Ratusz 2, 50106 Tel (071) 344 7225

Spiż is split into two rooms: a microbrewery with huge copper vats and a formal dining room. The service is not
fast, but patience is rewarded with outstanding home-brewed beer and tempting dishes such as Argentinian beef
and saddle of lamb, as well as Polish choices. The restaurant section is popular with an older crowd.

WROCŁAW Splendido : 7 f © 
ul. Swidnicka 53, 50030 Tel (071) 344 7777

Cluttered with exposed beams, flowers and lampshades, this is one of Wrocław’s best choices, provided one is
willing to part with the cash. The menu is a collection of Mediterranean dishes, among which the seafood is especially
noteworthy, with a superb sea bass prepared in balsamic sauce. The exclusive Vulevu Club is found in the basement.

WROCŁAW Piano Bar Casablanca : 7 f 
ul. Wlodkowica 8a, 50072 Tel (071) 344 7817

One of the most revered restaurants in town (and popular with local celebrities), the Piano Bar Casablanca is
decorated with North African rugs and framed pictures of Humphrey Bogart. The garden area feels a world away
from the frantic flutter of central Wrocław, and the menu offers both local and Mediterranean dishes.
