Wildlife in the
National Park
České Švýcarsko National
Park is home to a range
of animal species includ-
ing the European beaver,
river otter and lynx, which
settled here in the 1930s,
and the Alpine chamois,
introduced in 1907.

Trails
A network of clearly
signposted hiking and
cycling trails covers the
entire area of the park.

Šaunštejn
This high rock platform, which
was once the site of the small
Šaunštejn Castle, can be reached
by a series of vertical stepladders.

Jetřichovice
This scenic village, whose timber houses provide
accommodation to many walkers, makes a good
base for forays into the Jetřichovické Range.
