E-Type shouts
“speed”. I used a
slow shutter speed
and panned with the
car to try and capture
a sense of this.’

In the sand
1 ‘I took this picture
at the Barmouth

Wales,’ David says. ‘I
shot as the rider was
coming out of a corner
for more impact.’

circuit at the
Barmouth Beach
Race, I decided to
stay on this corner
where there was a
deep rut in the sand,
which caused many
riders problems
with control.’

David has fond childhood memories of his
ather’s many family photographs, and started
aking photographs himself when he was only
eight years old. He bought his fi rst camera –
a Kodak 127 rollfi lm – while on holiday in the
ChannelIslands, and has never looked back. Over the past
few years, he has developed an interest in action
photography in particular and, when he can, visits sports
venues close to where he lives, including Oulton Park Circuit
and Hawkstone Park Motocross Circuit.
