Covid-19andnormallife,whateverthatmay

be,hasstoppedforallof us.TheseRohingya

refugeechildrenremindusof thefragility

of life, that our need for food for survival

connectsusallaroundtheworld.’

Nearly9,000entriesfromover 70 countries

weresubmittedtothisyear’scompetition.The

fulllistof winnerswasannouncedbyformer

BlurbassistandcheesemakerAlexJamesin a

livestreamedeventon 28 Aprilandwatched

bythousands.Thejudgingchairwasfood

photographerDavidLoftus,whohasworked

closelywithJamieOliver,andjudgesincludeda

rangeof mediaandfood-industryluminaries;
