BAKERS with a wry sense of

humour are rising to the

occasion with coronavirus cake

creations for those forced to

celebrate special events

at home.

Home baker Rosanna Ruwe

has cashed in on the mass

stockpiling of toilet paper – by

creating a cake which appears

to be a toilet roll, right down ro

the patterned paper, and

reveals a tiered cake when cut

open.

Writing on Instagram, she

quipped: “Seems appropriate

for an April’s fools birthday.”

Fleta Page took a more

classical approach –with her

spectacular upside-down

strawberry cake with chocolate

icing piped into the corners to

recreate the virus’s crown-like

molecular structure. She

pointed out: “it’s my brother’s

birthday today, so his (scientist)

wife made him a coronavirus

cake!”

Adriel couldn’t resist poking

fun at loo roll stockpiling with

a toilet paper cake locked up

with a chain.

Yasmeen Youssef of Baking

and Co, made a coronavirus

attack starter pack cake

decorated with antiseptic spray,

gloves, face mask and an icing

toilet roll.

Ashika dubbed her creation

quarantine days – spherical

mini-viruses planted on top of

a white cake.

And actress Vanessa Morgan

of US teen drama Riverdale got

in the mix too.

She shared a disinfectant

wipe cake with her Instagram

followers.

A trolley sensible way

to go out in lockdown

GLITZ and glamour were left

on the cutting room floor

as the movie set took to

their trollies to go

shopping in the

lockdown America.

Margot Robbie, star

of the Suicide Squad,

wore an improvised

mask as she headed

out with film director

husband Tom Ackerley.

The Australian, 29, left

her home in Los Angeles,

wearing a black bandana

across her mouth as she

shielded herself from the deadly

coronavirus bug.

Renee Zellweger covered her

face with a surgical mask during

her quick stop at a supermarket in

the same city on Friday.

The 50-year-old, who won the

Best Actress Oscar in February

for her portrayal of Judy Garland

in Judy, was unrecognisable in her

sunglasses and mask.

Fellow Hollywood A-lister Julia

Roberts also left nothing to

chance when she ventured

out in Malibu.

The Pretty Woman

actress wore a colourful

mask across her face and a

pair of disposable gloves.

Julia, 52, has used her

Instagram account to

highlight the importance

of listening to

scientific advice and

following the

quarantine rules.

She told her

8.4 million followers:

“I stay home to be

part of the solution.

“Everyone, stay

home. It is the right

thing to do, for small

businesses, for all

the health care

workers fighting

around the world, and

for my amazing 95-year-

old neighbour.”
