49 Beware staff attitudes towards business ownership
In the wonderful idealistic world of many employees you are simply
a cruel capitalist pig who preys on decent hardworking customers.
You need to ensure that you root out this inherent problem at the
interview stage and make very sure that you do not employ these
people. Ask searching questionsabout previous employers to
assess attitudes to business. If they seem to be relentlessly running
down previous employers then it’s highly likely that they aren’t for
you.
Ask where they like to eat
themselves and see if you
can identify any prejudices
about certain types of
food. For example, whilst
we have nothing against
vegetarians, indeed they
can be very useful in
certain types of cafés, you
need to make sure they
won’t inflict their personal
opinions onto your customers.
