most agents fail to consistently mail to their farm every
month is because it costs money and they expect a quick
response to their mailing. A quick response does not hap-
pen. What doeshappen is that over time, you’ll be the first
person in a seller’s mind when it comes time to sell. Farm-
ing is not for the impatient. It may take one or two years
for you to see the sought-after results of farming. But once
you get into the habit of mailing your farm every single
month, there is a way that your farm area can reap a far
richer harvest than other agents have. I discuss this below
in the Farm FSBOs section.
There are books available that offer pre-written letter
templates for real estate agents. If you aren’t a good writer,
such a book is a good investment. All you’ll need to do is
type in your name at the top and you have a newsletter.
There are also companies that will print advertisements on
virtually anything that you can think of. Take advantage of
your creativity and make yourself stand apart from the rest
with different marketing ideas.
Whatever it is that you decide to mail, just make sure
that your budget allows you to continue your mailings
consistently every single month.
