getting the listing, you, or the competition the seller has
never heard of? The answer is easy.. .you would!I can’t
recall how many FSBOs I listed that were from my farm
area. This is a technique that you can use to speed up the
results of your farm harvest. Once sellers start to see your
signs popping up in their neighborhood and, on top of
that, start receiving your monthly mailings, you can be
sure that they’ll be considering you to list their home when
they decide to sell.
Farm Fuel
When you get a listing in your farm, use that for mate-
rial in your monthly mailings. You can advertise, “Just
Listed in Your Area” or “Another Home Listed by [Your
name].” If you don’t have any listings or sales in your farm
area, use your office’s listings. I would advise not to mail
flyers to your farm. Flyers should be sent to areas outside
of your farm. You’ll want the people in your farm to get to
know you. You can’t do that with a flyer. I suggest typing
a unique farm newsletter every month. Focus your letter
on their specific neighborhood. For example, you can
write letters about what’s new in the local real estate
market.
