FSBO Prospecting Plan
FSBO ads. Many times, these will be the only ads the seller
will post, which will ensure that you won’t have much
competition, and that they haven’t had and won’t get much
activity.
FSBO Lead-Providers
If you’re already a licensed real estate agent, you may
have received e-mails from some services that provide
FSBO leads in your area. For a monthly fee you can usu-
ally get a great number of leads from these providers, daily
or weekly. Most of these services get their leads from some
of the same sources from which you would get yours. This
is a great way to give a boost to your FSBO database, not
to mention that this is also a great time saver. Keep in
mind, though, they won’t have every FSBO that is out
there. You can still find the “prime” FSBOs, which are the
ones that most other agents don’t know about and which
therefore have less competition. I delve into FSBO lead
provider services in Chapter 5.
Where to Find FSBOs
There are many FSBOs that don’t advertise in newspa-
pers nor make flyers. These types of FSBOs are harder to
find but are worth much more because you won’t have as
much competition with them. The only way to find this
type of FSBO is to do it the hard way. You’re going to
have to drive around and comb neighborhoods block by
block. After a while, it starts to become fun. It’s like find-
ing the hidden Easter eggs.
