Now I’m going to give you some examples of different
dialogues you may encounter when calling FSBOs. These
are shortened to spare you the needless details. Here are a
few scenarios that you may experience. You should famil-
iarize yourself with these as much as you can. You’ll have
conversations that are good, bad, and everything in be-
tween, so keep in mind that these dialogue examples are
not the only scenarios you’ll face when calling FSBOs. Pay
attention to the next dialogue set examining a typical con-
versation with a FSBO.
The typical phone call to a FSBO goes something like
this:
Agent:“Hi, this is [Your Name] with [Your Company] Re-
alty. I’m calling about the home for sale on Brown
Street... is it still available?
Seller:“Yes.”
A:“How many bedrooms and bathrooms does it have?”
S:“Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.”
A:“Does it have a garage?”
S:“Yes, a two-car garage.”
A:“Wonderful, and how much are you asking?”
S:“$349,900.”
A:“That sounds fair, let me ask you something. If I had
a buyer, would you work with me as a buyer’s
agent?”
S:“What does that mean?”
A:“Well, typically, if I find a home for my buyer through
