market’s possible direction, but I am also able to identify possible points of
entry for long or short positions. I am able to hypothesize about potential
profit targets for those plays and ponder the ideal placement for stop/loss
orders.
For me, key numbers are like hot spots on a map of a mine field. A
soldier making his way through that field uses the map to avoid danger and
stay on safe terrain. Key numbers are my hot spots. They help me travel
through treacherous territory without getting blown up. Consistently prof-
itable traders use key numbers. My goal when trading is to win. Using time
of day and key numbers is what puts the odds in my favor. It gives me a
structure for trading and helps me keep emotions in check.
