Far, far away
The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction at Disneyland in
Anaheim, Calif., was deserted on May 1—and likely will
be for a while. Mass gatherings will be permitted only in
the final phase of the state’s four-stage plan for reopening
its economy, and so are likely months off. Disney has
furloughed about 100,000 workers since the start of
the COVID-19 pandemic, which executive chairman
Bob Iger described to Barron’s as “the biggest business
interruption we’ve faced.”
