Technique USING YOUR CAMERA’S SOFTWARE

OnceyouhaveselectedyourpreferredFilmSimulationmodeandmadeall
theeditsthatyouwanttoanimage,youcansavethemallasa Profilefor
useonotherimages.Tocreatetheprofileyoujustneedtoclickon‘Save’
nextto‘UserProfile’in theright-handcolumn.Thentypea namein the
boxthatappears.It’sa goodideatomakethenamedescriptiveandinclude
theFilmSimulationmodeusedsoit’seasytoidentifyfroma list.
Whenyouhaveanimagethatyouwanttoapplya Profileto,it’sjusta
caseof selectingtheimageandthenclickingontheappropriateprofilein
thelist.Althoughit appliesallof thesettings,youcaneditthemif youwant.

FujifilmX RawStudiogivesyoutheoptiontoopenyour
imagein otherimage-editingsoftwarepackagessuchas
AdobePhotoshopandCaptureOne,viaFile> Open
With.However,if youdoso,theimagetransportsacross
withouttheeditsyoumadein X RawStudioapplied.
Onceyou’vefinishededitingtheimagein FujifilmX
RawStudio,select‘Convert’at thebottomof the
adjustmentpanel.Thistriggersa dialogueboxtoappear
givingyoua fleetingopportunitytosetthequalityof the
previewimage– it hasnoimpactuponthequalityof the
savedimage.Theconvertedimageis savedin thesame
folderastherawfileandhas the same file name but with
the .jpg file extension.
