Make a list and do the grocery shopping for the cookie variety or varieties you’ll be making.
Take out all platters, serving utensils, glasses, silverware, and plates that will be needed for the
party as well as any decorations or centerpieces that you will need, such as candleholders, vases,
linens, etc.
Purchase bakery boxes and twine for guests to take cookies home in.
Make the dough for the cookie you’ve decided on, roll into a log, and store tightly wrapped in
plastic wrap in the refrigerator.
Whisk the cocoa mix together and put them into the gift jars. Make the labels for the gift jars.1 day before:
Prepare the marshmallows for the cocoa mix and let set. Bag them and tie to the gift jars.
Prepare and chill the eggnog.THe day of:
Bake all of the cookie dough. Place cookies on platters for serving.1 Hour before:
Light candles, put on the Christmas music, and set up an area for all of the cookies, including
bakery boxes and twine. Have place cards and markers available for guests to label the cookie
