The week’s best live action

Hypothetical, Thursday.

CRICKET
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final airs at 7.30pm on
Sunday on Sky Sport 2.
The Black Caps get their chance for revenge when they
return to Australia for the first of three one-day interna-
tionals on Friday (Sky Sport 2, 4.00pm).

translating real architecture,

Sydney Opera House, into
Lego. The first challenge for
the 10 teams is a Lego amuse-
ment park.

Indian Dream Hotel on Tour
(Vibe, Sky 006, 8.30pm). Known
to UK viewers as The Real
Marigold on Tour, because,
apparently, only the British
have seen The Best Exotic Mari-
gold Hotel. In the first season,
Miriam Margolyes, Wayne
Sleep, Rosemary Shrager and
Bobby George really did explore
retirement in India; in season
two, they’re going all over the
world, beginning in Chengdu,
China, a city of 16 million
people with a large concentra-
tion of pensioners. Margolyes
is, as ever, brutally honest:
“They are different from us,”
she says of the Chinese, “and
I think, rather nicer.” The
quartet will also visit Cuba,

Iceland and Thailand.

Hypothetical (TVNZ Duke,
9.25pm). We sometimes
wonder if it’s possible to
make a living in the UK with
panel-show appearances
alone, because there’s an awful
lot of them and the same
comedians keep turning up.
Those cheeky scallywags James
Acaster and Josh Widdicombe
return for another season of
this particular employment
scheme for British comedians;
guests include Richard Ayoade,
Sindhu Vee, Tom Allen and
Sue Perkins. The show is a bit
looser than highly structured
series such as 8 Out of 10
Cats – Widdicombe presents
contestants with hypothetical
situations to which they must
provide their best approach.
Acaster is the random element

RUGBY
The Blues will be hoping for an elusive win away against
a fellow New Zealand side when they travel to Welling-
ton to play the Hurricanes (Sky Sport 1, Saturday, 6.30pm).
You might also care to set the recorder for the Highland-
ers’ match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld (Sky Sport,
Sunday, 4.10am) and the Hurricanes turn around and play
the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday (Sky Sport 1, 6.30pm).
But that’s not the only rugby on at local viewing hours

  • the Japan Rugby Top League match between Yamaha
Júbilo and Suntory Sungoliath is live on Sky Sport 3
at 5.00pm on Saturday. New Zealanders Joe Latta, Joe
Wheeler, Richard Judd and Tevita Li feature in the Sungoli-
    ath squad.

FOOTBALL
There are two Uefa
Champions League Round
of 16 matches on screen
this week: Tottenham
travel to play Leipzig
(Sky Sport 7, Wednesday,
8.55am) and Liverpool are
at home to Athletico (Sky
Sport 7, Thursday, 8.55am).
The Wellington Phoe-
nix play Central Coast
on Sunday (Sky Sport 7,
6.00pm). The Phoenix’s Callan Elliot.

ICC Women’s T20
World Cup.

DARTS
The UK Darts Open begins, with the first to fourth rounds
on Saturday (sessions beginning at 12.45am, 8.00am and
10.10pm), then the fifth and six rounds at 1.30am and
8.00am on Sunday and the quarters, semis and final at
1.45am and 8.00am on Monday. All on Sky Sport 9.
