ings,” she says of the piece. “I love how those
moments can affect us.”
Another artist who often paints moments that
affect the viewer emotionally is Gerald M.P. Of
his painting You Make Me Happy, he says, “I paint
dewdrops on bright, colorful blooming flowers to
give a happy feeling, and moments of happiness
are cherished in life.”
Julius Lira Salazar’s work Blossom is a defini-
tive sign of the changing seasons. He says, “After
cold winter days, cherry blossoms signal a new
spring season. I use silver leaf as the backdrop for
the cherry blossom; it reflects the sunshine and
changing of the colors in the flowers.”
Having a similar inspiration is Jesus Navarro,
whose painting May Flowers is on view in the
exhibition. “I’m inspired by the newfound colors
of spring, particularly the vibrant hues of the irises
that bloom throughout many parts of my native
Spain,” he says. “May Flowers is a tribute to the
regrowth of the season and its visual splendor.”
