Season 8 has started Fortnite
fans! If you haven’t jumped
on for a while, it’s well worth
getting back into the swing of
Battle Royale as the changes
have been epic. Just before the
end of a Season 7, the world
started to shake and rumble,
and cracks started appearing.
The Prisoner, who had been
chained up in the ice castle
of Polar Peak, escaped and
disappeared somewhere, too.
We all knew something big was
going to go down, but we could
have never predicted what
would happen.

At the start of Season 8, a
massive volcano thrust its
way out of the ground where
Wailing Woods used to be. This
huge volcano is the lair of The
Prisoner, and you can climb
right inside of it to find stacks
of loot. Around the volcano

there is a river of lava plus a
new Jungle biome appeared.
There is also an all new town
called Sunny Steps. Filled with
pyramids and big underground
areas, it’s one of our favourite
locations on the map.

The other big change occurred
where Lazy Links used to be.
Water came rushing in from the
sea and created a big lagoon.
This new Lazy Lagoon area has
been discovered by pirates,
who have docked a big pirate
ship there and set up a camp.
This fantastic new spot allows
you to fight and loot outside
and inside the ship, as well as
the surrounding area.

The prates also brought
Pirate Cannons, which are
like a new vehicle. You can

move them around like a
shopping trolley and not
only fire out cannon balls to
wreck damage on players
and structures, but also
shoot out yourself or your
teammates. This becomes
a great new tool in team
strategies when trying to
move about the map or get
around enemy positions.

There is a stack more in
Season 8, too. If you want

the changes and a heap of
