If you’re going to be digging a tunnel and launching a massive
prison break, you can’t be hungry. Bratwurst and sauerkraut
are obvious choices, reflecting the taste of the German soldiers
manning the wire fence. Moonshine, on the other hand, is the

PSYCHEDELICACY

Play: Fire in the Lake

Watch: Apocalypse Now

Eat: Pho

Drink: Bia Hoi

Apocalypse Now and Fire in the Lake

each provide their own
brand of bizarre. One is a cinematic work of art featuring a
deranged Marlon Brando and tortured Martin Sheen, the
other a magnificent simulation detailing the complex war in
Southeast Asia.
Apocalypse Now is like walking through someone else’s fever
dream and staring directly into its black heart.

Fire in the Lake

is like breaking that dream down into blocks and then trying
to reassemble the pieces. This game utilises the phenomenal
COIN (counterinsurgency) system from GMT and provides a
tremendous amount of detail while still maintaining a strong
degree of playability.
So kick back and give your noggin a mind-bending workout.
To stay fuelled, partake in the Vietnamese brew Bia Hoi. This
delicious local beer pairs well with the soupy street food Pho and
will keep your table satisfied long into the night. As the jungle
around you burns, this psychedelic collision of art and immersion
will leave everyone exhausted and contemplative. It will be an
experience none will forget.
