Start crocheting
The scarf design develops by crocheting
five vertical strips joined together as you go.
The joining is simply done using slip stitches
between adjacent strips. Remember to pull
the working yarn tight after each joining
stitch to avoid gaps in your work.
Increases and decreases are worked in the
centre of the diamond motif, 1 st per row.
Turning chains do not count as a stitch.
Each strip is crocheted using one colour
throughout. The scarf width grows by
adding strips from left to right. All joins are
worked on the RS of the scarf.
First Strip
With A, chain 20.
