Making up
With blocking board and pins, pin out your
wall hanging, taking care to pin the peaks
and valleys of the chevrons out to make
them more defined. Gently steam with iron
or hairdryer, taking care not to touch the
fabric. Leave pinned until dry.
Fold first three rows of wall hanging over
knitting needle or length of wood/bamboo
and stitch in place using tapestry needle
and A. For hanging loop, chain 100 in C.
Fasten off. Tie to knitting needle/stick on
each side of wall hanging. Secure with small
amount of glue if desired.
Tassels
Cut 30cm lengths of each colour as follows;
14 strands each in A, B, & D and 15 in C.
Starting from the left edge of the bottom of
the wall hanging, attach 1 strand to each
stitch using a Lark’s Head Knot as follows;
7 in A, 7 in B, 7 in D, 15 in C, 7 in D, 7 in B,
7 in A.
Trim to lengths as shown in picture. Steam
tassels if required.
