MADE A CAREER of
shooting photographs
from high in the sky. His

‘save the planet’, I think
they are wrong,” he once
said. “The planet will
survive us, of course it
will; life will survive us.
What we are trying to
save is humanity.”

AFTER CELEBRATING THE RAF’S CENTENARY LAST YEAR, the Royal International
Air Tattoo’s airshow is back on July 19-21 at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Raising
funds for the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, the airshow has already confirmed the
attendance of the RAF Red Arrows, who will be performing aerobatic displays on all
three days. The Spanish Navy harrier will also make a rare appearance at the show, along
with the Royal Jordanian Falcons. Starting this year, the Royal Air Tattoo has launched
its Business Club, providing the opportunity to hear from guest speakers and access
prime positions for flight displays – sign up before March 31 to be entered in a draw to
win one of three sponsorship packages worth up to £50,000. airtattoo.com
