Julie Richman (Jessica Rothe) is the ultimate
‘80s Valley Girl, a creative spirit who spends
much of her time planning for senior prom
and shopping at the Galleria mall with her
best friends. However, she then falls hard
for Sunset Strip punk rocker Randy (Josh
Whitehouse), who challenges everything that
Julie and the Valley stand for.

2. It is a remake of the 1983 film of the
   same name.


3. The film also stars Mae Whitman as Jack,
   and Judy Greer as Diana Richman.


4. The originally intended release date
   of June 2018 was changed in light of
   controversies involving Logan Paul, who
   appears as Mickey in the movie.


5. A theatrical release was then denied
   altogether by the COVID-19 pandemic,
   meaning the film was released digitally
   on May 8.
