The H8F is a 55-inch 4K
UHD TV that’s handsome
with a thin-bezel. The H8F’s
color is accurate (90
percent of DCI), nicely
saturated, and general
large-object motion is
smooth for a 60Hz display.
The H8F supports Dolby
Vision as well as HDR10,
and it rendered both types
without issue. The blacks
prodiced by this TV were far
better than expected, and
there were no array back-
lighting defects, such as
blockiness. For general
viewing, it does well. The
remote is large, but is more
logically laid out and focused than many others,
and it’s easy to use. It’s not universal, but it’s
better than the remotes that ship with Sony’s
