Jenny has been passionate
about the creative arts
since she was a small
child, and went on to
study graphic design at
university. Soon after,
she landed a job as a
needlework designer for
DMC Creative World,
and became a freelance
designer a couple of years
later. She loves being
able to work with cross
stitch every day!

Stitcher’s guide
This design is worked on 28-count white
evenweave over two threads of the fabric
in 29 shades of cotton. Cross stitch is in
two strands of cotton, with lots of fractional
stitches throughout. Backstitch defines
the design in one and two strands of
cotton, and French knots add extra detail
in one strand. This project is suitable for
experienced stitchers.
How to stitch the design
1
Find the centre of your fabric by
folding it in half horizontally and
vertically. Follow the arrows to find the
centre of the chart and start stitching
here, working your way outwards.
2
Work the cross stitch over two threads
of the fabric using two strands of
cotton. For every tiny symbol you see on
the chart, work a fractional stitch.
3
Work the backstitch using one or two
strands of cotton.
4
Work the French knots using one
strand of cotton.
5
Check over your stitching and prepare
for making up.
“I’m crazy for the
70s vibe of this floral
pattern. It’s like a
beautiful summer
garden with a fun
psychedelic twist!”
