Fanclub
I’ve been a loyal follower of Custom
PC for a number of years, and I love
the current design. There is one
thing I feel that’s really lacking
when it comes to your monthly
Elite article though – case fans.
There’s a pyramid of different fans
available cases, and they’re so often
overlooked but oh so important for
the good running of a computer.
Which fans offer good value for
money? More importantly, what
makes a really good case exhaust
fan for getting all that heat out of
your case? I really feel this is an area
that shouldn’t be forgotten. Well
done again to all at the magazine for
doing a great job each month.

Ben: Good point! We’ll see if we can
squeeze some in. In the meantime, our
latest fan labs can be found in issue 194.

FEEDBACK
JULY
Issue 204^9
on sale on Thursday, 9 July
When’s the next issue out? During my recovery I have been
bought copies of Custom PC and
PC Pro. It took me many months
before I could read the magazines,
but knowing I could pick them
up and read something that
interested me, and keep abreast of
the new developments, was a way
of measuring my progress. I also
practised my writing and typing by
copying sections of the magazines,
making slow progress but always
improving. I have since become a
subscriber; the delivery is always
something I look forward to.
The plan for my recovery has
stumbled with the coronavirus,
but it hasn’t stopped. I plan to
return to work on 6 July. This is
proof that my recovery is working,
and that your magazine has been
instrumental to it. I have joined the
Custom PC Folding@home team,
and I currently have over 12,000,
points. I wanted to thank everyone
at the magazine, and I hope that the
lockdown is not causing too many
problems. Take care, and stay safe.

Ben: Thank you so much for your
letter – it’s amazing to know that our
magazine has played a role in your
recovery, and helped you to keep up
with the goings on in the tech industry
over the last few months – that’s
given us a real motivation boost in
these extraordinary times. Thanks for
subscribing and folding for us too – I’m
only on two million points, so you’ve
overtaken me already! I hope the rest of
your recovery goes to plan, and thank
you again for getting in touch. We’ve
sent you a free 2GB Raspberry Pi kit to
have a play with as well.
