its Baskerville yarn as
Baskerville 2.0, a new blend of
British Bluefaced Leicester and
Gotland wool.
Owner Linda Lencovic says:
“Hailing from the mysterious
west country moors, Baskerville
2.0 melds the lustrous, velvety
crimp of ine Gotland and soft
British Bluefaced Leicester.
Non-superwash, this yarn
has a gentle shimmer from
the natural lustre of the BFL,
creating a subtly modern take
on traditional rustic yarns.”
Baskerville was originally
created to be a low-processed,
eco-friendly yarn, and it is
now spun in a family-owned
British mill which is also usedby fashion giants including
Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc
Jacobs and Paul Smith.
Linda says: “Unlike many
yarns that can be shipped across
the world several times for
diferent processes, Baskerville
is sourced, scoured and spun all
at this British mill, then trucked
to me in Hastings for dyeing
in my kitchen, keeping carbon
footprints low for an eco-
friendly supply chain.”
