YOU WILL NEED
We Are Knitters The Wool 100% Peruvian
wool (approx 80m per 200g)
3 x 200g balls in Spotted Grey
15mm needles
Tapestry needle
46cm square cushion pad or stuing
15mm crochet hook or slightly smaller,
for fringe (optional)
Note: Yarn amounts given are based on
average requirements and are approximate.


TENSION
6 sts and 9 rows to 10cm over st st.
Use larger or smaller needles if necessary
to obtain correct tension.

CUSHION
Cast on 27 sts.
Rows 1-80: Work in st st.
Cast of all sts.


TO FINISH
Fold the piece in half with the RS out as
shown (1). Thread the tapestry needle with
the same yarn used for the project and sew
the side seams with a zigzag stitch. Fill your
cushion with a pillow form, stuing or even
scraps of yarn until you have the desired
shape and fullness (2). Sew the top of the
cushion closed. Make a knot and draw the
ends into the cushion to hide (3).

FRINGE
Cut strands about 18cm (7in) long and
tie them at the places indicated in the
diagram (4). You can insert a crochet hook
under the stitch to catch the loop, then
insert the loose ends through the loop.

NOTE: Grey boxes indicate
knot placement for fringe.
