PATTERN


HEXAGON (MAKE 18)
Using 1 or 2 dpns cast on 7 sts, leaving a tail
approx 20cm (8in) long. This will be used
to tighten the hole in the middle of the
Hexagon.
Row 1 (WS): Purl.
Row 2 (RS): (K1, yo) 5 times, k2 (12 sts).
Divide these sts between 3 dpns,
4 sts on each needle. Pm to mark beg of rnd,
making sure this falls between two needles.
Now work in the rnd with the RS facing.
Rnd 1: (K1, yo) around, working yarn overs
from previous row tbl to avoid holes
(24 sts – 8 sts on each needle).
Rnd 2: Knit.
Set Chart A1
Work from Chart A1, working patt 6 times
around (2 patt reps on each dpn).
Cont as set until you have completed
Char t A1.
Cast of loosely kwise, making a yarn over
in each corner and then casting it of as a
normal stitch – this will make the corners
more noticeable.
Pull yarn tail from cast on to tighten hole
at centre of Hexagon.
Weave in ends.


TO FINISH
Lay out the Hexagons as shown in the
diagram and sew them together stitch
for stitch.
Make sure the seams are not tight.
