Debbie Bliss’s spring collection

is inspired by French style

and iconic Chanel designs.

Featuring dogtooth check,

linen stitch, clean silhouettes

SWEDISH STYLE

Swedish yarn brand MillaMia

has released Naturally Soft Sock,

a blend of 75% wool and 25%

polyamide in 20 colours, perfect

for sock knitting. The yarn comes

in a 50g ball of 200m and retails

at £4.50. It is backed by a range of

patterns including socks, hand

warmers and a hat.

MillaMia has also released a

set of patterns designed to be

garments you want to slip on

and slouch in. The Super Simple

Collection includes six designs

including jackets and sweaters

that are simple in shape and fit

but feature techniques that will

ensure they are interesting to

knit. The Stella jacket can even

be worn both inside and out.

GLITZ AND SHINE FOR SUMMER

Lang Yarns has added a number of yarns to its range, all backed

by exciting design collections. Janet is a 50:50 cotton and nylon

blend made in the doppia caduta al rovescio style, which means

it combines two plies to offer a surface that is both matt and

shiny. It knits up on 4-4.5mm needles to a roughly DK tension

and comes in 50g balls of 120m. It comes in a range of 12 soft

pastel and cool neutral shades – try it out in the cabled Janet

sweater on page 64. Kylie is a multi-tonal, almost tweedy-

looking worsted-weight blend of 56% cotton, 25% silk, 13%

wool and 6% viscose. It knits up on 4mm needles to a tension

of 20 stitches and 29 rows to 10cm and comes in a palette of 13

pastels and strong feminine tones which work together to create

a sporty and rustic effect. Delicate Lurex bobbles add a touch of

glitz to Marlene Luxe. This worsted-weight blend of 55% cotton,

40% nylon and 5% polyester knits up on 4-4.5mm needles to

a tension of 19 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm. The six-strong

palette is restrained and focused around classic neutrals, while

the design collection features some really intriguing knits and

wild designs inspired by 1970s retro.
