Next row (RS): Cast off 4[4:6:8] sts, ssk,
patt to end. 74[80:84:88] sts.
Next row (WS): Cast off 4[4:6:8] sts,
patt to end. 70[76:78:80] sts.
Row 1 (RS): Patt to end.
Row 2 (WS): P2, p2tog, patt to last 4 sts,
p2tog tbl, p2. 68[74:76:78] sts.
Rep last 2 rows 7[7:9:10] more times.
54[60:58:58] sts.
Cont in patt and dec 1 st at each end of
every row (on RS rows work sssk instead
of ssk and k3tog instead of k2tog and on

BUTTON AND NECKBAND
Join shoulders by working a three-needle
cast off on WS.
Using a long circular needle, starting at
bottom of Right Front, with RS facing, pick
up and k82[84:88:92] sts to start of neck
shaping, pm, pick up and k40[40:42:42] to
right shoulder, pick up and k5[5:5:5] sts to
Back neck, k36[38:40:40] from Back neck,
pick up and k5[5:5:5] to left shoulder, pick
up and k40[40:42:42] to Left Front neck,
pick up and k82[84:88:92] along Left
Front. 290[296:310:318] sts.
Row 1 (WS): Knit.
Row 2 (RS): Knit.
Row 3: K to m, sm, k2, (work 3-st
buttonhole, k7[7:8:8]) 5 times, work 3-st
buttonhole, k to end.
Row 4: Knit.
Cast off slightly loosely.
TO FINISH
Set in Sleeve caps. Seam side seams and
underarm seams. Weave in all loose ends.
Sew on buttons.
Block garment to measurements either
by soaking it in lukewarm water, then
squeezing out excess water in a towel and
being careful not to stretch the garment



  • or by spraying the garment liberally with
    clean water so it’s slightly wet.
    Stretch garment to measurements (pin in
    place if desired) and leave to dry.
