Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran 50% wool,
50% acrylic (approx 180m per 100g)
3[3:3:4:4:4] × 100g balls in Dusty Lilac (A)
3[3:4:4:5:5] × 100g balls in Misty Grey (B)
1[1:1:2:2:2] × 100g balls in Ballet Pink (C)
4mm and 4.5mm circular knitting needles
Set of 4 x 4mm double-pointed needles
Set of 4 x 4.5mm double-pointed needles
4mm needles
Stitch holders
Stitch markers
8 buttons
Note: Yarn amounts given are based
on average requirements and are
approximate.
TENSION
21 sts and 22 rows to 10cm over patt using
4.5mm needles.
Use larger or smaller needles if necessary
to obtain correct tension.

PATTERN NOTES
When working Chart in rows, work odd-
numbered Chart rows as RS (knit) rows,
reading Chart from right to left, and even-
numbered Chart rows as WS (purl) rows,
reading Chart from left to right. When
working Chart in rounds, work all Chart
rows as RS (knit) rounds, reading Chart
from right to left.
Join in and break off colours as required.
When using more than one colour in a
row, strand yarn not in use loosely across
WS of work, weaving it in every 3 or 4 sts.
BODY
Note: Body is worked in one piece
to armholes.
Using 4mm circular needle and A cast on
188[200:212:224:236:248] sts.
Row 1 (RS): K3, p2, k2; rep from to last
st, k1.
Row 2: K1, p2, k2, p2; rep from to last
st, k1.
These 2 rows form rib.
Work in rib for a further 10 rows, dec 3 sts
evenly across last row and ending with
a WS row. 185[197:209:221:233:245] sts.
Change to 4.5mm needles.
Work from Chart (see Pattern Note), beg
and ending rows as indicated and working
4-st patt rep 46[49:52:55:58:61] times
across each row.
Cont as set until you have worked
58 Chart rows, ending with a WS row.
Body should meas approx 31cm (12¼in).
Divide for armholes
Next row (RS): Patt 43[46:49:52:55:58] sts
and slip these sts on to a holder (for right
front), cast off next 6 sts, patt until there
are 87[93:99:105:111:117] sts on RH needle
and slip these sts on to another holder
(for back), cast off 6 sts, patt to end and
leave this last set of 43[46:49:52:55:58] sts
on another holder (for left front).
Break yarn.
SLEEVES (MAKE 2)
Using 4mm dpns and A, cast on
52[52:52:56:56:56] sts.
Distribute sts evenly over 3 of the 4 needles
and, using 4th needle and taking care not
to twist cast-on edge, work in rounds as foll:
Rnd 1 (RS): K1, p2, k2; rep from to last
3 sts, p2, k1.
