Cast off in patt, working k2tog twice
over the top of each baby honeycomb
and p2tog in m st at side edges of large
honeycomb: this will help to prevent the
edges from stretching out of shape.
TO FINISH
Steam lightly but DO NOT press: this
avoids flattening the cables.
Sew side seam of each mitt using mattress
stitch, working simultaneously from the
top and bottom edges. This will allow you
to try on the mitt as you go and decide
where and how large you’d like your
thumb opening to be.
Weave in all ends.
