straight, so grand prix drivers

often rode the kerbs pretty

aggressively here insearch

of laptime.

If you shot from inside the

circuit with a long lens, looking

across, then perhaps three or

four times a sessionsomeone

would push it too far and you’d

get a striking image like this

one. You just had to be patient.

Lewis Hamilton had taken his

first grand prix win in Canada,

then another at Indianapolis,

but here in France he had car

trouble in first practice and was

trying to make up for lost time

in the afternoon.
