“I WAS SITTING ON THE BEACH in Tulum, Mexico, watching the palm trees sway
overhead and the waves crash onto the shore. I wanted to try and capture the scene
from above, so I powered up my drone and used my iPhone to get a bird’s-eye view.
What I love about this photo is how big and powerful the ocean looks relative to
everything else—but also how tranquil and inviting the clear, blue water seems at the
same time. Seeing the shoreline from this perspective, I felt like I was worlds away
