Said to offer a ‘unique blend of charm, excitement
and comfort’, Southwell Racecourse in Rolleston is
the perfect opportunity for groups to spend a day
at the races. A number of year-round events take
place on the site’s all-weather and turf tracks so
visitors can place a few bets on the horses and watch
in anticipation as they make their way around the
final turn.

Finally, Nottinghamshire is home to a large stretch
of the River Trent, the third longest river in the
UK, so no visit to the county would be complete
without a journey along the famous waterway. There
are lots of options to choose from, but for a more
peaceful experience for smaller groups, Gunthorpe
Leisure Boats may be a good provider to consider.
Its purpose-built boats, The Gunthorpe Belle and
Gunthorpe Star, allow groups to sit back and relax on
a ride along the river from Gunthorpe Marina in the
east of the county, with a top speed of eight knots.

You can find out more about all of these attractions by
contacting the Visit Nottinghamshire team at
http://www.visit-nottinghamshire.co.uk.
