Now celebrating its fourth decade, Alton Towers in
Staffordshire has over 40 rides and ten rollercoasters, each with
record-breaking elements to thrill and delight anyone brave
enough to ride. With 20 attractions aimed at young children
and families, Alton Towers is also the only place in the UK
where you can meet some of the CBeebies’ characters.

With more than 40 rides and attractions, Chessington World
of Adventures offers families nearly 1,000 animals to see, a
SEA LIFE centre, two themed hotels, a glamping site and Go
Ape. For adventurers, you can explore the rainforests of the
world by road, taking the wheel on Jungle Rangers; by river,
make a splash on mini-log flume, River Rafts; and from the
treetop canopy, bounce up high on Treetop Hoppers, all while
spotting creatures including real tortoises and capybaras, the
world’s largest rodent.

Tour time


The Original Tour has family-friendly packages including
its special 45-minute Kids Tour. The open top bus is a perfect
introduction to central London, passing major landmarks,
with a live guide on board to tell stories about the history and
culture of the city. The panoramic tour highlights include
Trafalgar Square; lastminute.com London Eye; Houses of
Parliament; and Westminster Abbey, plus free WiFi on board
the bus so you can share your snaps with friends and family.

Cadbury World in Birmingham is a self-guided exhibition tour
with loads of chocolatey zones to indulge in and explore. Ride
the Crunchie rollercoaster and dive into liquid Cadbury Dairy
Milk on a 4D cinema experience, complete with motion seats.
Find out how popular Cadbury brands are made, including
Creme Egg, Buttons and Roses and travel back in time to a
recreation of Victorian Bull Street where you’ll meet Quaker
entrepreneur John Cadbury, and see where the Cadbury
business began. Watch how Cadbury World chocolatiers
demonstrate traditional chocolate-making skills, try a green
screen experience with your family, enjoy the play area and be
amazed at the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop.
