With superb aerial displays over the sea, matched
by the equally stunning Blackpool Tower as a
backdrop, Blackpool Air Show, which usually takes
place each August, is one for groups who ‘do love
to be beside the seaside’. The show also has different
attractions to see on the ground, as well as multiple
food stalls for people to grab a snack while the
action unfolds in the sky.

Southerners can also visit the coast for a spectacular
air show in Clacton, which welcomes in the region
of 250,000 people to Essex every year. Impressive
aerobatic displays are intertwined with exhibition
stands and on-site entertainment to offer a
memorable day out for all. A convenient coach
drop-off point also means that groups visiting the
show have an easy access option for large numbers,
although this needs to be pre-booked.

Motor racing fans will be sure to flock to the
Goodwood Revival in Chichester every year,
where the glamour of motor racing is recreated
on the historic track. It is the only event staged
entirely in period dress from the 40s and 60s, and
includes many vintage vehicles that have remained
unchanged since their heyday.

For more historic automobiles, Cheshire Steam
Fair has asserted itself for more than 30 years as
one of the main events in the county. The venue in
