I’ve completed Halo:
Reach and Halo 4 on
Legendary Solo, and
I’m working on the
rest now.
Nathaniel Applebee

Halo 2 because it’s the
only game I have ever
fully completed.
Brittany Owens

Every Halo on
Legendary. Jackal
snipers still give me
nightmares.
Marcos Lozano

Ninja Gaiden. Took me
some serious grinding
before they nerfed it.
Marlin Dorian Widger

Diablo III all
achievements, all
in-game challenges on
all characters. Man, that
was fun.
Colin Wingrave Jones

Halo: Reach on
Legendary. I had never
tried it before, but I got
through it over a
single night.
Lliam Atherton

Making Legend in Sea
Of Thieves before it was
do-able in a week!

WHAT XBOX GAME ARE
YOU PROUDEST OF
BEATING, AND WHY

Any game that usually
works with November
2018’s keyboard and
mouse update will
work with the Turret,
but only selected
games support Xbox
Dynamic Lighting. So
far, such approved
games are: Gears Of
War 5, Fortnite,
Warframe, Minecraft,
X-Morph: Defense,
Warhammer:
Vermintide II, Bomber
Crew, Children of
Morta, DayZ, Deep
Rock Galactic, Minion
Masters, Moonlighter,
Strange Brigade,
Vigor, Warface,
Wargroove and
War Thunder.

second-lowest sensitivity settings will
feel right for most gamers, though on
these levels you may find you need to
lift the mouse quite often to re-centre
it on the magnetised tray.
The app also allows you to
customise the keyboard backlight,
with either a fixed colour of your
choosing, a spectrum of smoothly
changing colours, scattered

illumination of random, individual
keys, and more. Oddly, the instruction
manual also mentions a ‘ripple’
setting, whereby pushing a key sends
ripples of light out around it like water,
but that’s not currently available in
the app itself. That’s probably the
biggest disappointment we have
encountered so far.
The keys themselves have
microswitches in them, which you
can both feel and hear. It’s quite
a noisy keyboard as a result, with
creaks and springs also audible when

you press the keys down slowly.
But the weighting is good, and the
comparatively deep key travel doesn’t
feel tiring in practical use. The
rechargeable batteries in both the
keyboard and mouse are excellent,
keeping you going for days or even
weeks between charges, depending
on your backlight settings. And when
you do dip below 5 per cent charge,
there’s built-in energy-saving to keep
your game going until you can plug in.
The Turret is comfortable,
responsive (in high-framerate
games, at least - Sea Of Thieves not
so much), looks great and makes a
clear improvement to your control
fidelity. But at this price, which is
huge however you look at it, we’d
recommend trying a cheap USB combo
first, just to make sure you actually
like gaming with a keyboard and
mouse. Consoles come with control
pads for a reason, after all. Q
