Guess who’s coming to dinner? It’s you, chump,
sitting down for a stomach-churning feast of gory
survival horror with the charming Baker family in
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard! We go back to
Capcom’s Resi reinvention on page 98, and scare
ourselves silly in the process. Next we stealth our
way through some XCOM-style tactical encounters
in Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden (p100). In our
final Now Playing, we go to the dogs with Metal
Gear Solid V having unlocked Snake’s puppy, DD.
It’s one man and his dog in a trek across Afghanistan
(p101). With Borderlands 3 just around the corner
(much more on that next month), what better time
to revisit the first Borderlands for a Retrospective
look at Gearbox’s characterful shooter (p102)? One
of the most memorable and original survival horror
games ever to frighten us on Xbox, Dead Space , is
next up, as we explain why we love the game’s gory
dismemberments (bear with us, we’re not normally
so obsessed with chopping bits off of things) on
page 106. Then finally, since there seems to be an
awful lot of noise this month about some kind of
superhero movie or other, we thought we’d take
a look at our favourite games involving capes and
masks. So we compiled a list of our Top 10
Superhero Games on Xbox from page 108.
