Question:

billionbites : Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help. I’m having

trouble with a couple of my videos

where the voice track is muffl ed

when playing back on Instagram and

Youtube on an iPhone but works

perfectly fi ne on my iPad, Macbook

and TV. There should be a voiceover

clip that plays, but it doesn’t play on

the phone.

paulears: When that bit of VO starts,

one of the channels is inverted – it’s

the opposite polarity. If you don’t

have any audio editing software,

listen on a stereo system, or even a

laptop and when that voice starts –

the audio image goes very wide, then

shrinks back when the girls voice

starts. On a mono system, it cancels

out, like those karaoke machines try

to do to get rid of the vocal. Some-

how, when you edited the video you

used an inverted clip – you can fi x it

in the edit.
