Fans of the hip-hop legend Tyler, the Creator,
whose years of prominence began at the
helm of the collective Odd Future, might
react with surprise to his new studio album,
which is relatively light on the rapping with
which he made his name. However, there
remains a long list of guest appearances,
including from Kanye West and Pharrell.

1. Tyler, the Creator’s real name is Tyler
   Gregory Okonma.


2. Okonma co-founded Odd Future in Los
   Angeles in 2007.


3. IGOR is Okonma’s first studio album
   since 2017’s widely acclaimed Flower Boy,

   Billboard 200 chart.


4. The guest stars on IGOR include La Roux,
   CeeLo Green and Jack White.


5. In a review of the album, The Guardian
   has called it “a smorgasbord of buzzing
   basslines, prominent piano chords and
   out-of-key synths”.
