Open the zip. Bring the outer
pieces to meet, right sides
together and the lining pieces to
meet, right sides together. Stitch
both pairs along their full bottom
seam, leaving a turning gap of 3-4"
in the lining, then carefully press
the seam allowance open.

On the outer side, squish
press the pieces together so
that the bottom seam matches the
centre of the zip, and the cut outs on
the sides line up to form squares. Pin
the lining out of the way, and stitch
together along the short seam
(don’t touch the cut outs yet).

Turn everything over and repeat
Step 10 with the lining side.

Repeat steps 10 and 11 with
the other end of the zip.

Take the handle piece and fold
in half wrong sides together,
matching the long edges. Press. Open
it out again, fold the long edges into
the centre crease and press. Fold
along the original crease again and
press. (See Pic I.)

Top-stitch all the way around the
handle piece ⅛" from the edge,
starting at the open edge. (See Pic J.)

Pick up the pouch and thread
the handle through the cut-outs
at the open end of the zip. Press the
cutouts together so that they meet at
right angles to the seam sewn in steps
1 and 11. Align one end of the handle
with the centre of this seam allowance,
keeping the rest tucked inside the
pouch for now. Stitch together.

Repeat Step 15 with the other
side of the handle and cut out.

Turn the whole pouch through the

push out the corners of the pouch at
