explains his long-standing links to Italy, how
Madonna ensured the House of Versace
brought him onboard and how he shot the
2011 Pirelli Calendar in Naples.
The beating heart of the book is the way in
which Testino has adroitly managed to capture
the essence of Italy through his photographs- stylish, passionate, engaging, stunning (in
architecture and natural beauty) and packed
with joy and a sense of fun.
This is clearly so much more than a
selection of images by Testino... it’s a
long-standing love affair with a country he
says has, ‘taken over much of my life and
much of my heart’. File under ‘absolutely
essential’ for Testino fans and ‘must have’ for
even the more casual of photo book
collectors. Fantastico!
