as a warm front moves across the region.
The front will produce clouds, with the
potential for showers or thunderstorms in
some places.TONIGHT .........Severe thunderstorms early
Low 77. Thunderstorms will rumble
through in the evening and can produce
damaging gusts and flooding downpours.
Otherwise, the night will be warm and
humid under a partly cloudy sky.TOMORROW .............Strong thunderstorms
High 90. A flow will bring a warm and
humid day, with sun. An approaching front
may bring strong thunderstorms, mostly
in the afternoon and evening.FRIDAY .......................Clouds and sunshine
As a front pushes away, showers may
linger in a few spots. Otherwise, there will
be clouds and sun, with moderate warmth
and humidity.SATURDAY
SUNDAY ....................................Partly sunny
Saturday will be partly sunny, with moder-
ate warmth and humidity. High 86. Sun-
day will be partly sunny, very warm and
somewhat humid. High 89.Thunderstorms will riddle a large part of
the eastern half of the nation. Thunder-
storms from New England to the Gulf
Coast, central Plains and Great Lakes
may produce brief heavy rain and gusts,
especially in the afternoon and evening.
The greatest risk of severe thunderstorms
with high wind, hail and even isolated
tornadoes will extend from the central
Appalachians to the Mid-Atlantic coast.
A weak tropical system may take shape
over the central Gulf of Mexico on its way
to the Texas coast late in the week.
Storms will dot parts of the Rockies and
deserts.
Much of the rest of the western half of
the nation will have dry weather and sun.
Heat will build from the northern Rockies
to the northern Plains.Humid air flowing across the region will
bring an increase in cloud cover, along
with potential showers and thunderstorms
from the Jersey Shore north to the New
England beaches. Farther south, the day
will be hot and humid, with sun and thun-
derstorms in spots. Storms could be
heavy and gusty.Encourage
