LIAM GALLAGHER
WITH STEPHEN HUNT
”The problem with being a London
taxi driver is that all the celebs want
to have their picture taken with you!
On this occasion, in January this year,
it was the turn of Liam Gallagher to ask
me. Apparently, he said that if I let him
take a piccie of us together then he’d
‘get one over on our kid and make him
well jel.’ Whoever that may be...
I picked up Liam and his mum at Euston
Station and ran him up to his place in
Highgate. Over the years I’ve been lucky
enough to pick up loads of my musical
heroes including Paul Weller, Midge Ure,
Neil Tennant, Damon Albarn, Graham
Coxon and... Noel Gallagher.”

RICK ASTLEY
WITH LOUISE BESSANT
”This pic was taken at the opening of
Rick’s bar in Shoreditch, London, last
October. I’d met him four times before
this and we spoke about the tattoo of his
signature that I had done despite him
telling me not to! He’s a genuinely nice
guy who always has time for his fans and
seems shocked that us ladies think he’s
hot! I saw him play live eight times last
year – I’ve been a fan since I saw him
at Radio 2’s Festival In A Day in 2017.
I’ve made some great friends through him
and, following a tough couple of years,
he really brought my smile back.”

DR ROBERT WITH
SAMANTHA SAVAGE
”This is a photo of my
impromptu meeting with
Dr Robert from The Blow
Monkeys when they
supported Level 42 at
the Symphony Hall
in Birmingham on
17 October last year.
I’ve known of The
Blow Monkeys’ music
since I was a pre-teen
but this was the fi rst time seeing
them perform live. They normally play
smaller venues in London, so to have them support
Level 42 in Birmingham was an exciting prospect.
They didn’t disappoint as their set was a great trip
down memory lane. Robert was very charming,
accommodating and friendly, and had a smile and
time for a chat with everyone. I told him that I was
so pleased to have fi nally met him after almost three
decades since I fi rst heard their music.”

ADAM ANT
WITH ROBERT DAVIS
”This photo was taken on 6 June
2016, the day after Adam and his
band played at Glasgow Royal
Concert Hall during his Kings Of
The Wild Frontier Tour. It was a
chance meeting – he was staying
at the same hotel. I’ve been an avid
fan of Adam for the past 38 years and met him several
times over the years. When we met, I congratulated Adam
on a fantastic gig, Glasgow really loved him the previous
night. For me, it was a dream come true seeing Adam
performing Kings Of The Wild Frontier live, and to meet
him, too, was the icing on the cake.”
